There was inadequate information on the sellers site ti indicate what size this was. Had I known it was a facecord and not a half cord, I wouuldn’t have bought it.

You’d have to be a moron to blame the manufacturer for you choosing the wrong dimensions. Read the dimensions which are clearly marked on the ad. They’re designed to fit over Brookstone’s Log Racks and they fit perfectly. Whether that happens to match the amount of wood you want to stack or not is certainly not Brookstone, OR Amazon’s fault.

That having been said – this is a moderately flimsy material, but not like cheap tarp. It holds up well in Michigan winter and even seems to resist a few inches of frozen clumps of snow pressing down on it without tearing. But it’s not going to be your heavy gauge, Sunbrella quality vinyl. We usually go through a rack of wood (one of Brookstone’s 8 footers – we have two lined up along the house). So what we do is just bring the cover in as soon as that rack’s empty. Fold it up, put it downstairs and let it dry out while we’re working through the second pile.

Doing this for a few months and they really seem to be holding up to the abuse smashingly. I especially like the velcro tear away fronts. I would hate having to run out to the woodpile in my slippers in 10 degree temps and have to fight with the cover before I could reach some wood. This velcro feature elliminates that.

The downside to these covers, aside from the fact that some folks require that they be a particular size before they’ll buy one and just be happy with it … is the fact that they have a tendency to sag as the wood depletes. Brookstone would have done well to ask its manufacturer to attach some grommets or a couple of bunjees for tying the bottoms down to the legs of the rack to keep it taut. But we’re just going to throw some grommets on there ourselves because it looks like as durable as they are it will be worth it to upgrade them ourselves.

These seem to be the most affordable, most durable and best design on the net right now, as I don’t particularly care for the top-only covers. We get some nasty snow drifts and I need coverage right to the ground.

These are a good buy at 35 clams a pop as long as you’re not expecting Yacht grade vinyl.

The product is great and priced really well! It fits exactly as it should and the ability to open it from the front makes it very handy. The only thing I would change about it is the color. I wish there were other options like brown or green instead of black.

I bought this last fall and it is in tatters from the rain and wind. It is against a south wall protected but still fell apart.

The product description of this cover is WRONG- it says it will fit most 4 foot racks, then has “48″ – implying the cover is 48″ (or so I assumed). This cover is NOT 48″- it is 90″- it is NOT designed to fit a 4′ rack- it is designed to fit a rack that holds a full cord of wood- not a half cord like a 4′ rack would. Make sure you need a cover for a FULL cord rack if you are ordering this!
