This is a great log splitter. Splits fast and smooth. No need for gas, not loud and no smell. Split over 2 cords already and shows no sign of wear.

came from the outdoor store on a big truck,which could not get up my long driveway. it was hard for my wife and i to get it out of our forester, but once we lugged to out to our front porch it worked great. splits twisted logs, big logs and hard to split logs.

I have back problems, probably from splitting logs, so this was very helpful to me. i would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t or can not use a manual splitter. However the one page manual was a joke. i had to call the 8oo number to find out how to relieve the pressure in the hydraulic tank, required prior to use. the valve was not indicated on the manual. but other than that it’s great.

The item is perfect for what I needed. However… it arrived damaged and the problem was never rectified.

I split a bunch of oak with this unit, but it would not split any unseasoned wood. It’s too wet. I stacked my unseasoned oak away and will wait until next season to spilt it. Otherwise, I had no problem splitting big rounds (12 to 15 inches) of seasoned oak.

I’ve split 3 cords with it so far, Its doing about a cord per hour. I have only found 3 logs in those cords that it would not split and that was because the logs were slightly too long. I am splitting Pine so it never really loads the machine hard.

This machine is momentary on , it dosen’t run continuously. you have to press a electric switch and hold it with one hand and then operate a hydraulic lever with the other , its a safety feature , my main concern is for the durability of the electric switch, it does seem tough, but every single log is a on/off cycle.

I have 2 more cord to go for this year and it seems to be doing a great job . For the price this is a great little machine.

Good value for the money, especially with free shipping. Seems to be well built and works smoothly. The shipping carton is flimsy and there was some cosmetic damage to the unit. The two-handed operation is annoying but a necessary safety feature. The face of the ram has a golf-ball size rounded protrusion that will cause logs that don’t have a flat edge on the end to be pushed off the feed ramp. Again, a safety feature, but this one is overkill.

After I got over the laughter of the size and shipping damage, I got to work with my cahnnel locks and straighten the thing out. This thing splits like a champ, fast and easy to use. I don’t like to bend down so I fabricated two removable levers I could not be happier, but the shipping was sad sight to see.

I’m surprised by the performance of this product. Easy to operate, no maintenance, no fuel. All you need is a long and high quality power cord. It can be operated inside house or garage.

But two things you need to be aware. Don’t ask this product on a next day delivery. The box is not enough solid to endure rush delivery. This log splitter arrived with a damaged box at one end with the hydraulic handle half broken. I had to weld it.

And, the two black side runners are not very solid.

I purchased this splitter last year and I am using it for the second season and I have split about 3 cords with no problems. It’s quiet and powerful. I only split hardwood and it has done a great job. I can’t wait to get my next batch going.

The person that rated this unit a 1 because it stopped returning, probably forgot to open the pressure relief valve. It’s one gotcha if you forget about it, but this splitter works great.
